WPP’s programmatic media platform Xaxis has named Andy Chung as managing director of Hong Kong.
Since joining Xaxis in 2013, Chung has built and grown the Hong Kong business into the market’s leading programmatic media and technology company with more than 150 clients.
Prior to Xaxis, Chung served as business director, Greater China, for global advertising network Tribal Fusion, where he built up local coverage for the company through established partnerships with Hong Kong publishers.
Chung also managed the team providing targeting strategy, data, insights and optimization solutions to both direct clients and agencies, including WPP’s GroupM.
“Andy brings with him a wealth of experience that has contributed immensely to the business growth in Hong Kong. It is a well-deserved promotion and we look forward to a more exciting chapter for the Hong Kong team”, Michel De Rijk, Xaxis’ APAC CEO, said.
Expanding its talent roster in Hong Kong, Xaxis also announced the addition of two new team members, with Tina Chan and Vincent Shek joining as client development senior executives.
Prior to joining Xaxis, Chan served as business development manager at ClickZ and the Financial Times, while Shek acted as an account executive at iClick Interactive Asia Limited.
“The expansion of our team reflects the growing demand of programmatic advertising in the Hong Kong market which copes with the global trend”, Chung said.
