WPP has appointed Sharon Ho (pictured) as managing director, delivery and client transformation in China. She will oversee WPP’s recently opened operations and delivery hub in Wuxi and report to Chris Reitermann, WPP president in China.

This comes after WPP launched its operations and delivery hub in Wuxi in July 2024 to accelerate its transformation. Ho’s newly created leadership of this hub underscores WPP’s commitment to furthering its service portfolio in social, content, performance and commerce operations to meet the evolving needs of brands. To date, the hub employs over 150 operational and delivery specialists and is set to triple in size by the end of 2026.

In China's highly digital, performance-driven market, WPP is committed to a client-centric business model to help clients achieve both short-term growth and long-term brand success. Ho will lead the charge on supporting WPP’s client teams to further develop and integrate AI-driven production, performance and content solutions into their offering via WPP Open, WPP’s end-to-end marketing platform powered by AI.

Ho brings over 15 years of experience transforming businesses and building high-performing teams. Before joining WPP, she held multiple leadership roles in the marketing industry, spanning media, creative, digital and performance, where she consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver innovative solutions and drive business growth for local and global clients. Most recently, Ho was China CEO at IPG’s Initiative and was responsible for launching Digitas in China.

Reitermann said: “Today, brands are looking for marketing partners that can harness creativity to curate impactful campaigns that drive growth and unique consumer experiences, that are delivered in scalable and cost-efficient ways. As we further embed AI into our enhanced offering, Ho's rich experience and enthusiasm for the industry make her the ideal leader to lead our client transformation via our Wuxi Hub. Her expertise in operational excellence and technology will be invaluable as we scale our offering in China to unlock greater growth opportunities for our clients."

Ho added: “I am excited to join WPP and embark on this journey of creative transformation. WPP’s position as the industry leader in AI, coupled with the best creative minds, ensure it has all the necessary ingredients for success. I look forward to working with the team in Wuxi to shape more agile, effective and innovative solutions that drive brand growth for our clients."
