Taiwanese fitness chain World Gym has entered into a strategic partnership with Australia-based Your Reformer (YR) to introduce specialised Pilates coaching programmes and equipment across its Taiwan locations.
As part of the agreement, Your Reformer will serve as the exclusive approved vendor for Pilates training systems throughout World Gym’s global network.
Building on an existing collaboration with World Gym Australia, the expanded alliance establishes World Gym Taiwan as the sole fitness centre partner for Your Reformer’s products and services in the market.
The partnership will roll out Your Reformer’s Kiosk Pro digital platform, giving members access to over 1,000 classes across more than 20 categories. The system offers personalised programming tailored to individual progress, from beginner to advanced levels. Offerings include specialised content for pre- and post-natal Pilates, injury rehabilitation, and sport-specific training, with Mandarin translation currently in development for Taiwanese users.
While the financial terms of the partnership has not been disclosed, a World Gym spokesperson said there are numerous unique advantages provided to its members through the partnership. "We will offer highly competitive digital technology integration with 'My Pilates @World Gym' providing a superior experience to our members across Taiwan where we are the market leader in fitness - and, then rolling the program out from there."
"Regarding services, we have our own exclusive education and training center, training 3,100 private trainers to provide one-on-one specialised program intense levels for members of all ages and genders."
The “My Pilates @ World Gym” initiative responds to surging demand for pilates by introducing both one-on-one and small-group training formats across World Gym’s 140 company-owned locations in Taiwan. The programme will tap into World Gym’s industry-leading personal training capabilities and its team of 3,100 trainers to deliver Your Reformer’s customised pilates methodology to the company’s 180,000 personal training clients.
The partnership built on the findings from a recent Taiwan industry report that shows interest in Pilates has been growing rapidly in Taiwan since 2024, with its popularity increasing nearly fivefold annually, said the spokesperson. "This is driven by the influence of Korean celebrities and social media promotion, demonstrating significant market expansion potential."
"We have capitalised on this momentum and demand and training through our 'My Pilates @World Gym' will instill confidence in Pilates technology; not only will it enhance members’ sustained interest, but they will also be more willing to recommend the service to friends and share it on social media."
“We are excited to bring this premium wellness offering to our Taiwan members as part of our continued commitment to results-driven fitness and member success,” said John Caraccio, president of World Gym Corporation. “The Reformers offer great technology which integrates well with World Gym’s famous strength training environment, to further enhance our members’ body conditioning and performance.”
“Partnering with World Gym represents an incredible opportunity to scale our proven pilates methodology across one of the world's most respected fitness networks,” said Ben Stallworth, CEO of Your Reformer. “World Gym’s commitment to excellence and their extensive personal training infrastructure make them the ideal partner to bring accessible, high-quality pilates to fitness enthusiasts across multiple markets. Our Kiosk Pro platform ensures members receive consistent, world-class instruction whether working with trainers or independently. We're thrilled to support their vision of making premium wellness offerings available to their growing global membership base.”
