WeLab Bank names new agency to handle media duties

Hong Kong-based digital bank WeLab Bank has appointed Publicis Media as their media agency following a competitive pitch back in late 2025.
Publicis was chosen due to its in-depth experience in banking and loan particular, and dedicated team to support aggressive business growth, especially with its technology and data advanced thinking that fits perfectly with WeLab Bank's business philosophy as an AI-first digital bank.
Under the partnership, Publicis will be responsible for all media strategy and buying from offline to online for both WeLab Bank and WeLend for the Hong Kong market.
Kevin Tsang, head of marketing, WeLab Bank told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE: "We are excited to join forces with Publicis to drive what’s next. This strategic move not only aims to elevate operational synergy and efficiency between the two entities but also to drive growth in brands and product offerings, empowering the launch of eye-catching and innovative campaigns.

The appointment comes after WeLab bolstered its leadership team with the hire of Tsang as head of marketing for Hong Kong, reporting to WeLab Bank chief executive Tat Lee. In his new role, Tsang is responsible for the overall marketing strategies for WeLab Bank and WeLend for Hong Kong market.
