Released a little less than a week ago, this three-minute video, produced by Thai telecommunications company TrueMove H, has already garnered over three million hits.
The inspiring ad depicts the story of how a soup seller is rewarded later in his life for being a good Samaritan. When a boy was caught shoplifting medicine for his sick mother, not only did the soup seller pay for the medicine, he also packed some soup for the boy's mother.
Nearly 30 years later when the soup seller is stuck with medical expenses of his own, the doctor treating him turns out to be the boy he once helped. The doctor pays of the bill saying the debt had already been settled thirty years back.
Meanwhile, the over 2000 responses on YouTube have been mostly positive.
