VMware's new Philippine Country Manager aims to drive digital transformation

VMware Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a global leader in cloud infrastructure and business mobility, announced the appointment of Victor Silvino as country manager of the Philippines.In this role, Silvino oversees the company’s strategic planning and business development processes to drive further growth for VMware in the Philippines. Silvino will also lead sales and channel operations, supporting local enterprises’ adoption of a software-defined data center, and hybrid cloud and end-user computing offerings to address existing and emerging business challenges in a digital economy.“Silvino joins VMware with an excellent track record of driving solid and consistent business growth across a wide portfolio of solutions. With his in-depth expertise in managing accounts, I am confident that Silvino will play a pivotal role in scaling our business to greater heights in the Philippines,” said Ron Goh, President, Southeast Asia and Korea, VMware.Prior to joining VMware, Silvino held key executive positions at IBM, with close to a decade of experience in managing the software, cloud and channel businesses in the Philippines and Asia-Pacific.
