Vitasoy revives 'Stand by me' campaign to celebrate real connections

Vitasoy has revived its beloved classic "Stand by me" campaign, reinforcing the brand's belief that genuine human connections bring happiness and bring people closer.
Created in collaboration with dentsu GBA, the campaign aims to cut through an era where technology has overshadowed the warmth of real human connections. It celebrates the small, authentic moments that can make a big difference in a person's day.
The brand believes that a simple gesture of support, the sound of a loved one laughing, or a quick knowing glance - these are the moments that bring true warmth and joy.
The campaign has launched across TV and digital video, supported by social media and out-of-home placements. A series of three films portrays "Stand by me" moments across different relationships and life stages - family, friendship, and lifelong companionship - using the familiar melody as an emotional anchor.
On social media, dentsu GBA is collaborating with local street photographers and creators to capture real-life moments of connection. These authentic moments are then amplified by KOLs and micro-influencers on Instagram and Xiaohongshu. Furthermore, out-of-home placements include major transit hubs, with an MTR station domination in Hong Kong.
In mainland China, the campaign will culminate in a metro station gallery featuring community stories and photography, bringing the platform into daily commutes. In Hong Kong, the brand has introduced an interactive digital experience that allows consumers to record and share personalised voice messages paired with the "Stand By me" tune, turning a simple gesture into a shareable message of care.
Jeffry Gamble, chief creative officer, dentsu GBA and Hong Kong, said: “We wanted to capture the 'unseen' warmth in everyday life, small gestures that say ‘I’m here’. Using the melody as a shared cue, the work is designed to feel familiar and participatory across the region.”
