VCCP Singapore has appointed Lesley John (pictured) as regional head of client services. She is tasked to lead the agency’s client relationships and drive the establishment and growth of the business.
With 14 years of client management experience, John previously worked at agencies including M&C Saatchi, BBH and Arcade. Her account leadership experience includes global, regional and local remits for brands including Coca Cola, Heineken, Johnnie Walker, Levi’s, British Airways, McDonalds, Singapore Tourism Board, Airbnb and Ferrero.
“VCCP’s core principles really resonated with me, and they have a fantastic track record of providing marketers with challenger solutions at scale. I am also delighted to be working alongside Mapleston at this exciting time in the agency’s genesis,” John said.
Newly appointed APAC regional director at VCCP Singapore, Craig Mapleston said that John will be an “ideal” addition for the team.
“She’s a broad thinker who appreciates the importance of big ideas and integration. She has brilliant experience in leading teams that navigate complexities and uncertain paths. And most importantly, she is great at identifying and nurturing talent. All of which will be critical to our success at VCCP Singapore,” he added.
Founded in 2002, VCCP works with brands including Shell, Cathay Pacific, Canon, Mondelez International, O2 and Domino’s Pizza. Its Singapore office looks to be the strategic and creative centre for regional and global client requirements, as well as guide local market teams across Asia. The team currently consists of digital, analytics, PR capabilities and looks to grow into a full-service agency over the coming months.
Speaking to Marketing prior to the launch last month, Mapleston said then that the agency looks to have representation across Asia through partnerships and home grown talent to create a regional presence.
