Irama Hotel Kuala Lumpur, an up-and-coming hospitality landmark in the capital, has appointed GO Communications to oversee aspects of public relations and brand communications duties ahead of the hotel's opening in the fourth quarter of 2025.

As part of this appointment, GO Communications (GO) will manage a full suite of services, including public relations, branding, creative communications, and social media management, in the lead-up to the hotel’s launch and beyond. Besides building visibility, GO will work closely with the Irama team, led by general manager and hospitality veteran, Praba Ratha, to shape a distinct personality for the hotel.

Located in Titiwangsa Sentral, the independent 5-star hotel boasts of 766 appointed rooms and suites, a variety of dining concepts, a full wellness spa, outdoor pools, a 24-hour gym, and family spaces. Irama Hotel will also house a grand ballroom for up to 700 guests, and 18 meeting and function rooms, with hopes of becoming a destination for weddings, events, and MICE engagements.

Irama Hotel is also set to offer sweeping views of the capital's skyline at an elevated vantage point, and is minutes away from cultural landmarks, shopping destinations, and business districts. The new hotel will take the place of the old Grand Seasons Hotel which ceased operations in 2019.

In a release shared with A+M, Irama Hotel's tagline, "Feel the rhythm", will set the tone for the hospitality landmark as a place that connects people, moments, and memories through spaces which move effortlessly from one to the next.

“We’re happy to have GO Communications on board as we shape the identity of Irama Hotel during these crucial pre-opening months. They are seasoned storytellers who share our vision and understand the kind of warm and uniquely Malaysian brand we want to build,” said the upcoming hotel's GM, Praba Ratha.

“Irama will be one of the largest hotels in the city. But more importantly, it will be one with real character, crafted to offer both scale and soul. We want every guest that walks through our doors to feel a connection that is welcoming, thoughtful, and uniquely us,” he added.

Meanwhile, GO Communications' CEO Peter de Kretser said that as a storytelling agency, GO sees its role in shaping a brand voice and presence that feels both personal and enduring. “We are excited to collaborate to shape a unique brand and quite literally, a ‘landmark’ moment in the city’s hospitality landscape," he said.

"With Irama, we also have that rare and highly coveted opportunity to shape a brand from the ground up. And we look forward to telling that story in ways that are authentic, exciting, and true to its Malaysian roots,” de Kretser added.

As Irama Hotel prepares to open its doors, it also shared that its ambitions stretch beyond Kuala Lumpur, as plans are in motion to expand the Irama name to new destinations.
