Universal Networks International promotes Mackenzie

Universal Networks International (UNI), the channels’ division of NBCUniversal International Television has appointed Scott Mackenzie as vice president, Channels, Asia, UNI.Mackenzie reports to Christine Fellowes, managing director, UNI, APAC and will lead the optimisation of NBCUniversal’s five channel brands in the region – Universal Channel, E!, DIVA Universal, Syfy and Style – to drive overall growth. Mackenzie will be based in the company’s Singapore office.Having joined NBCUniversal in 2008, Mackenzie was most recently director of business development with Universal Pictures International Entertainment, Japan driving a variety of projects across Television, Digital and Home Entertainment. His appointment to the Singapore team sees him re-join UNI where he was Channel Director, Japan and Korea from 2008- 2012.Prior to NBCU, Mackenzie spent nearly a decade with Viacom, wrapping up his time there as MTV’s Head of Programming in Seoul. Prior to Korea, he was with MTV in both Berlin and New York where he worked across International Programming and both Talent and Show Development.“Mackenzie brings valuable experience in international entertainment and television – having worked in the US, Europe and Asia across multiple industry sectors,” Fellowes said.
