UltraCorp partners with Bank BTN to embed digital vouchers into Bale app

Trimegah Karya Pratama (UltraCorp) is advancing its strategy in digital voucher and rewards solutions through a new partnership with Bank Tabungan Negara (Bank BTN). The collaboration brings shopping voucher purchases directly into BTN’s mobile banking platform, Bale by BTN, as part of the bank’s broader shift towards super app functionality.

Through the integration, Bale by BTN users can now access digital vouchers across categories ranging from F&B and fashion retail to entertainment and even investment. UltraCorp’s Ultra Voucher platform underpins the new service, with the aim of enhancing customer experience while adding tangible value for BTN’s loyal customers.

“Currently, digitalisation across all industrial sectors in Indonesia continues to grow, particularly in online services based on platforms such as mobile applications and websites. This growth has also influenced people’s habits in carrying out economic and business activities, including accessing mobile banking to support their daily needs,” said Ratna Sofia, corporate sales and marketplace division head at UltraCorp.

The move comes against the backdrop of rising competition among financial institutions to evolve mobile banking into super apps. According to Maximize Market Research, the global super app market is projected to expand by 470% over the next eight years, with Asia Pacific leading growth due to strong consumer preference for all-in-one digital platforms.

Within Bale, BTN customers can access vouchers via the ‘lifestyle’ menu on the app’s home screen. After purchase, vouchers are stored in the user’s transaction history and can be redeemed directly with participating brands, eliminating the need to switch between applications.

To further attract adoption, BTN and Ultra Voucher have rolled out a “buy one get two” shopping voucher promotion running until 31 August 2025.

Founded in 2016, UltraCorp positions itself as Indonesia’s most comprehensive rewards and loyalty solutions provider. Operating both Ultra Voucher (B2C) and UBOS (B2B), the company serves more than 310 corporate clients and offers shopping vouchers across over 300 brands.

Recently, BTN signed an MoU with Pembangunan Jaya Ancol and Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to support Jakarta’s transformation into a modern, inclusive, and sustainable global city. The partnership spans urban development, tourism, and the creative economy, with BTN providing digital banking services, Jakpro driving infrastructure projects, and Ancol enhancing its role as a tourism and cultural destination.

Initiatives include installing BTN’s digital payment solutions across venues such as Ancol, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), and Taman Ismail Marzuki, as well as exploring the construction of a bridge linking Ancol and JIS to improve accessibility. BTN also signalled readiness to support major events and sponsorships, building on past collaborations such as the Jakarta International Marathon.
