UEM Sunrise kicks off the new year with 'Duo Duo' campaign

Property developer, UEM Sunrise is celebrating the spirit of togetherness and joyfulness in the Year of the Tiger with its "Happy Duo Duo" campaign. Translating to "more and more", the campaign is also a play on words symbolising "22" and seeks to showcase the joy of getting together and spending time with loved ones, family, and friends during this pandemic. According to UEM Sunrise, the campaign is inspired from the expression, "twice the joy, double the happiness" - which aligns with the company's tagline, "find your happy". The campaign is said to commence from 12 January and end at 22 March.

To drum up awareness of the campaign, UEM Sunrise will be organising a series of digital activities, promotions, and festive-themed videos that aim to highlight the spirit of togetherness. On the social media front, the property developer has released a campaign-themed filter where users can record a video or take photos in its "Happy Tiger Filter" contest. Additionally, the property developer has also launched the "Happy Duo Duo, Sign and Win" content, where homebuyers will have the opportunity of winning prizes such as kitchen appliances and electronic goodies. The content is also said to include more benefits such as free legal fees during the SPA signing and loan application or stamp duty exemptions for selected participating developments

A+M has reached out to UEM Sunrise for additional information regarding its digital strategy for the campaign.

As part of the campaign’s efforts in encouraging sustainability and its tiger conservation efforts during the Year of the Tiger, UEM Sunrise has launched a separate contest on its website, titled, "Send Happy Tiger Home Safely". According to the property developer, it will be donating RM100 to the "Malayan Tiger Conservation" programme by The Malaysian Conversation Alliance for Tigers (MYCAT) for every completed participation. The capped limit is said to be at RM22,200.

“On top of celebrating happiness during this Chinese New Year, it is apt that we continue to forge ahead with our sustainability efforts, this time raising the awareness of tiger conservation initiatives in the country," said UEM Sunrise's CEO, Sufian Abdullah. According to Sufian, it is widely known that Malaysian tigers that are left in the wild have been classified as an endangered species. Being a national symbol for the country, Sufian added that it was essential that the nation understands and make efforts to preserve the tigers and their habitat.

In fact, this is not the first time the property developer has given back to the community. In August last year, UEM Sunrise unveiled a nature-themed mural "Happy Space at Lot 149" in Kuala Lumpur to signify its commitment to sustainability and the environment. Following the announcement from Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) to incorporate local street art into the capital city, the property developer teamed up with eight local artists from E&M Services and Nippon Paint, which sponsored the paint used for the mural.  According to UEM Sunrise, the artists have works featured around the city and are no strangers to the streets of Kuala Lumpur.

Whereas on the digital front, UEM Sunrise unveiled three brand new hUb-themed mobile apps last year in March. The apps, hUb Home, hUb Mall, and hUb Life was a continuation of its first mobile app hUB series, hUb Prop, which was launched in 2019.  It was previously conceived with the aim to serve UEM Sunrise's loyal customers, also known as Trésorians and future homeowners, as a one-stop platform for their property buying experience. The apps are managed by UEM Sunrise's digital arm, Rise Digital, which was established last January as part of the company's commitment to its digital transformation agenda.
