Uber is introducing a new feature, Uber Travel, to provide riders on the platform ease of mind for their travel planning and a better ride experience to and from the Hong Kong International Airport as part of its latest “Peace of Mind with Reserve” campaign.

This comes as Uber’s recent user research on travel planning and booking found that the top pain points for travelers are keeping travel information organised and planning the logistics. With this in mind and a commitment to finding new ways to move people better, Uber is introducing the new feature to help riders on the platform plan on ground transportation ahead of important occasions.

Running from 31 March until 31 April, the month-long campaign offers promotion and a complimentary limited-edition travel amenity kit for riders who complete a Uber Reserve ride to/from the Hong Kong International Airport during the period.

All in one button, the new feature enables riders to see all of their travel itineraries, such as flights, hotels and rides, making travel easier so riders can enjoy every moment they step out of home. In partnership with AwardWallet, Uber Travel offers riders the option to manually import and organise hotels, flights and restaurant reservations into a single itinerary view; or with riders’ consent to link their Gmail or Microsoft email accounts, Uber app will automatically import their confirmed bookings into Uber app, and notify riders to book rides for important occasions - such as reserving a ride for an early flight.

“We want every Uber trip experience to be comfortable and effortless. To celebrate the strong comeback of international travel and the government’s ‘Happy Hong Kong’ campaign, we are offering travelers and our platform’s riders with trip promotions to try Uber Reserve - a feature that allows riders to book a ride through the app for up to 30 days ahead,” said Estyn Chung, General Manager of Uber Hong Kong.

Chung also said Uber hopes the campaign can help ease any travel anxiety post pandemic, as well as elevating travel experiences with the specially curated Travel Amenity Kit. “Whether at home town or overseas, Uber wants to make sure every trip of our riders is being well taken care of, and they can always count on the comfortable familiarity of an Uber experience,” Chung added.
