Don't leave anything behind: Uber Hong Kong unveils the most common and unexpected items left in cars

Before leaving the vehicle, please check again whether you have all your belongings and do not leave anything behind. Once again, Uber Hong Kong has unveiled its Lost & Found Index, highlighting interesting facts when it comes to lost items, including gadgets, luxury accessories and even dentures.

The Uber Lost & Found Index provides a snapshot of passengers' most commonly forgotten items, most unexpected items, and even which times of the day and week riders forget items most. For example, riders left behind sanitisers, extra face masks, gloves and COVID test kits, while the number of AirPods being left behind rose exponentially last year (over 130% year-over-year).

4. Headphones, speaker

9. Bottle, thermos
10. Umbrella

The 10 unexpected lost items
1. Dentures
2. Blood testing equipment
3. Black truffle
4. Barrister’s wig and gown
5. Wheel of a baby trolley
6. Medical oxygen bottle
7. Frozen lamb chop
8. Camping mattress
9. Ultrasound photo
10. Foldable table

The three most common food-related items left behind
1. Alcohol
2. Coffee
3. Chocolate

The five most commonly forgotten brands
1. Apple (including AirPods)
2. Samsung
3. Louis Vuitton
4. Chanel
5. Bose

The five most commonly forgotten gadget brands
1. Apple (Over 400 iPhones were found last year)
2. Samsung
3. Bose
4. Sony
5. Huawei

Top five lost luxury Items
1. Black and gold Rolex
2. Cartier watch
3. Chanel Boy bag
4. Burberry wool coat
5. Hermes wallet

Passengers tend to be most forgetful on
1. 4pm, Saturdays
2. Fridays
3. 6 February 2021, followed by 26 November 2020, and 14 February 2021
