Toyota Malaysia has appointed The Clan as its digital creative agency following a pitch in July. Both The Clan and Toyota declined to reveal the value of the contract and its duration.
Following the move, the agency will be tasked with duties such as strategic development, conceptualisation, creative execution, content creation, web and app development as well as monitoring of all its digital and social platforms.
This includes Toyota’s website, email marketing platforms, mobile app, social media platforms, influencer engagements, and after sales integration. This signals Toyota’s journey towards full digital transformation, the statement read. The Clan’s appointment also builds on a previous Hari Raya campaign the agency had done with Toyota back in June called “Jalan Cerita”.
“The Clan is humbled and honoured to have been given the opportunity to go on this journey with Toyota. Beyond just digital and social platforms, we will be deploying our newly formed tech and experiential design division to serve the needs of the brand,” Syed Nasir, The Clan’s business chief, said.
“We see ourselves as more than just another web development agency. While maintaining websites are important, the status quo however, shouldn’t be the same. Together with Toyota, we hope to challenge conventions and build on relevant digital ideas that are native to the platform,” Casey Loh, creative chief at The Clan added.
