Tony Electronic turns HK mall T.O.P. into infant party spot

Hong Kong illustrator and inventor Tony Electronic (東尼電機) has joined forces with local shopping mall T.O.P (This is Our Place) to unveil a Christmas campaign with the theme “Ryan Animal” (懷孕動物), transforming the shopping mall into infant party spot filled with animal babies.

This comes after Tony Electronic launched “Ryan Animal” collection launched in 2022, which offered blind boxes of cute pregnant animal figures. When these figures were unboxed, there was the chance of getting a baby boy or a girl, and a 10% chance of getting a set of twins.

From now till 14 January 2024, Tony Electronic is leading a team of “Ryan Animal” babies migrating to T.O.P.'s rooftop garden “TWINS-Land” to celebrate Christmas.

As part of the campaign, T.O.P has launched a “FINDING TONY”  hide-and-seek game. While Ryan East Come paper cards are placed on different levels of the shopping mall, visitors can capture him in a photo and present it at the customer service counter to receive a set of exclusive Ryan-themed Christmas cards.

In addition, T.O.P. has created four photo hotspots inside the mall. The journey begins at the “Christmas Ryan Sleigh” on the first floor, including a gigantic Ryan Santa Look and a sparkling Christmas tree. On the fifth-floor rooftop garden, a three-metre-tall Ryan Snowman and a troop of TWINS babies are scattered around for the Christmas party.

Moreover, a “Tony Electronic pop-up store” will be launched on 2 to 3 and 8 to 9 December.  A series of Ryan Animal collectibles will be available. Some proceeds from the pop-up store will be donated to the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA), according to the release.

Other features including the exclusive “T.O.P x Tony Electronic” premium redemption programme, the Snapio Christmas Ryan Animal-themed instant photo selfie booth and seasonal Ryan puddings giveaway, will be launched as part of the campaign.

To engage a wider audience, T.O.P is hosting a “Look-alike Competition” on its Instagram page, inviting participants to find their twins and upload photos to their personal Instagram stories showing these look-alike pets, cartoon characters, public figures or total strangers.

Once they tag the photos with @topmongkok, they will be automatically signed up for the competition. All participants will receive a “Ryan Animal” special edition Christmas candy.
