Tokopedia makes a move into subscription space for Java-based users
share on
Tokopedia, the e-commerce marketplace of GoTo Group, has launched its first subscription plan, ‘PLUS by GoTo’ to Java-based users on its platform. ‘PLUS by GoTo’ offers users unlimited free shipping with faster order processing time, priority services, and other exclusive benefits from GoTo’s strategic partners, such as Halodoc and Vidio.
PLUS subscribers can get discounted medicine and doctor consultations through Halodoc, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stream vouchers discounted up to 99% through the Vidio app, exclusive Tokopedia NOW! coupons, prioritised service from Tokopedia Care, and many more benefits through upcoming new partner launches.
“PLUS by GoTo is a prime example of how we can unlock synergies across our ecosystem to offer more value for customers. As the only eCommerce player with a fleet powered by a market-leading on-demand platform, we are able to deliver the next level of service and enhance engagement with our platforms, which we believe will foster long-lasting customer loyalty,” Anthony Wijaya, Marketplace of GoTo Group director and head added.
The PLUS by GoTo subscription package fee starts at IDR150,000 for six months during the initial promotion period. This works out to around IDR25,000 monthly for unlimited free shipping - including same-day delivery with faster order processing time, on hundreds of millions of products available on Tokopedia, compared to quota restrictions that currently apply for free-delivery promotions.
“People have truly embraced online shopping as a result of the pandemic. However, as Indonesia is the world’s largest archipelagic country, shoppers here face a number of logistical issues, one of which is shipping costs. Many Indonesians look for low-cost, even free delivery without any quotas. PLUS by GoTo presents itself as a solution to this problem, with which our customers can shop worry-free on Tokopedia, without having to track delivery fees,” Gabriella Kawilarang, head of Product Tokopedia explained.
