Tokio Marine Life names new CEO

Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore (TMLS) has appointed Christopher Teo Sze Teck (pictured) as chief executive officer, effective immediately. He will be replacing James Tan, who stepped down in December 2018.He was lastly senior vice president of business development with NTUC Income Insurance. Teo brings with him over 27 years of experience in the insurance and banking industry. He has held leadership positions in Singapore and Asia, and helmed roles such as chief executive and general director of Vietinbank-Aviva Life Insurance Company in Vietnam.He was also previously the alternate principal officer and chief operations officer of Manulife Singapore, and had stints in Manulife Insurance (Thailand). He was also the chief executive officer as well as a member of the board of directors of Professional Investment Advisory Services."With his rich and diverse experience, we are confident that Teo will provide the strategic leadership to steer TMLS to continued growth," Professor Tan Cheng Han, chairman of the board of directors, Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore said.In October last year, TMLS appointed Adeline Tiah as head of marketing, replacing Manisha Seewal who moved to Carro in August. Tiah reports into chief distribution officer, Michael Tan.
