Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore (TMLS) has appointed Gilbert Pak (pictured) as its new chief marketing officer. He will be taking on this newly created role effective immediately, as former head of marketing Adeline Tiah exited in August.
As CMO, Pak will be responsible for leading the marketing and product strategy at TMLS. Under his leadership, the insurance company aims to strengthen its development, bring a comprehensive suite of market competitive and customer centric solutions to meet customers’ financial planning, wealth protection and creation needs.
Prior to joining TMLS, Pak most recently held the position of regional head of product management at Allianz Asia Pacific for eight years. He brings with him over 27 years of marketing, product development, actuarial and financial management experience across Asia.
Meanwhile, TMLS also hired Michael Kuek as the chief and appointed actuary. He will be tasked to oversee actuarial valuation and pricing. With close to 24 years of experience within the insurance industry, Kuek's immediate past positions held were as chief actuary at China Life Insurance Co (Singapore) and Great Eastern Life Indonesia.
