Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore’s head of marketing Adeline Tiah (pictured) is currently on gardening leave. She was appointed to head up the marketing role in October last year. Tiah was responsible for managing the full spectrum of marketing, including branding, sponsorship, PR and digital marketing. She also led the team in developing customer value proposition and building a more data driven and customer centric approach to marketing.
Prior to taking up the role at Tokio Marine, Tiah was on a career break, pursuing career coaching during the time. Previously, she helmed head of marketing for wealth segments at UOB and head of marketing and partnerships in UOB Travel. She was tasked to develop and implement brand and PR strategies as well as differentiated propositions for wealth segments such as deepening customer relations and brand equity. During her time with UOB, Tiah partnered with clients such as Google and Facebook to drive social media and content marketing campaigns.
Between 2006 to 2010, Tiah was the vice president and head of brands and sponsorships at HSBC, where she developed customer segmentation strategies and marketing campaigns through data insights to drive product sales for investment and insurance. She also handled and drove the PR strategy as well as negotiate sponsorship rights for an investment. Before this, Tiah was with M1 for over nine years, managing brand and marketing for the telco. She is also the co-founder of a women’s organisation called “ABC Women”.
