ThoughtBuzz names ex-Multiply exec as Philippine GM

Singapore-based social media analytics firm ThoughtBuzz beefs up its local team with the appointment of former Multiply executive Rianna Roces-Trinidad as its new general manager for the Philippines.Roces-Trinidad boasts 18 years of experience starting as account manager at Ogilvy & Mather in 1996. Prior ThoughtBuzz, She was the marketing head of the now defunct e-commerce company Multiply.com.After Ogilvy, she moved on to work with FCB Worldwide Manila, before returning again to Ogilvy & Mather Singapore as associate account director in 2002. She then became the director of Information Gateway in 2004 then landed a role at Globe Telecom in 2011 as head of digital & social media marketing.Ashok Patro, chief of operations at ThoughtBuzz said that the Philippines is a key market for them, thanks to growing Internet penetration and mobile internet that have made social media more accessible.“Brands have thus started taking social media seriously. ThoughtBuzz’s products and suites of services will help and equip brands to understand, plan and manage their digital spending in a smart way,” Patro said.Specific to the Philippine market, Thoughtbuzz has services that can cater to local languages like Tagalog to offer local insights.“I have always believed that the best campaigns are those powered by real, relevant insights. In this age where conversations have come online ThoughtBuzz is in the perfect position to guide brands in creating meaningful relationships with their consumers through strategic communications both online and off,” said Roces-Trinidad.ThoughtBuzz expanded to the Philippines in 2012 and was recently acquired by India-based digital services company To The New last September.
