The Shilla Duty Free has partnered with Dr.Jart+ to launch the first Singapore Changi Airport-inspired travel-themed Non-Fungible Token (NFTs). Through the introduction of the NFTs, The Shilla Duty Free and Dr.Jart+ intens to take travellers on an immersive digital experience where they can discover Singapore as not only an iconic tourism destination but also a place of art and skincare. This move comes as international travel continues to grow at Singapore Changi Airport.

Featuring iconic Singapore attraction spots, the collaboration includes an exclusive pair of two NFTs and 9,000 Proof of Attendance Protocols (POAPs), a type of NFT intended exclusively to confirm that the owner has attended an event.

Matssssal is a graphic illustrator and 3D Art designer behind the creation of the POAP and NFTs. The NFTs depict Dr.Jart+'s white tiger mascot dressed in a costume inspired by the brand's best-selling Cicapair series and its key ingredient, tiger grass. It can be seen travelling through iconic landmarks in Changi Airport such as the HSBC Rain Vortex. From August 10 to August 31, consumers and NFT lovers can collect the free POAP and stand a chance to win one of two limited edition NFTs by entering a contest. Winners will be announced on September 6 on The Shilla Duty Free’s website, Facebook, and Instagram. The NFTs will be issued and sent to each winner's digital wallet address provided in the entry form.

Bart Dubbeld, vice president and general manager of Dr.Jart+ and Travel Retail Worldwide, said: “Dr.Jart+ is a philosophy – a brand at the intersection of artful experiences and high-performance derma skincare. In partnership with The Shilla Duty Free, we are proud to bring this ethos to life in the form of NFTs inspired by Singapore's Changi Airport.

Jeff Lee, managing director of Shilla Travel Retail Singapore said: "We are thrilled to partner with Dr.Jart+ to enrich our offerings with innovative digital experiences and travel-exclusive products to delight our customers.”

In response to having Changi Airport featured in the collaboration, Teo Chew Hoon, managing director of Airside Concessions, Changi Airport Group, said: “We are excited to inspire the first travel-themed NFTs launched in collaboration between Shilla Duty Free and Dr.Jart+. The expansion into the digital realm enables travellers to discover a trove of exciting experiences and products available even before they embark on their journey at the airport.”

The Shilla Duty Free, a travel retailer and subsidiary of Samsung, operates more than 20 cosmetics and fragrance boutiques throughout Singapore Changi Airport's four terminals. In order to provide preferred cosmetic products to local residents, The Shilla Duty Free Singapore increased its offers to the domestic market in 2021.
