The Peninsula Hotels appoints brand marketing and comms director

The Peninsula Hotels has promoted Denis Brunet (pictured) to brand marketing and communications director, according to his LinkedIn. Prior to his promotion, he was senior manager of brand marketing and communications from January 2019 to January 2022. He led and directed the head office cross-functional teams on all campaign and marketing initiatives through the development and deployment of innovative brand marketing and communications strategy across all channels. He was also responsible for managing strategy and the deployment of creative content across targeted media.Brunet joined The Peninsula Hotels in August 2015 as marketing manager until December 2018. In this position, he managed the group’s global campaigns, brand partnerships initiatives and paid advertising to drive brand awareness, recognition and revenue.Before joining The Peninsula Hotels, he worked with the likes of Cathay Pacific and American Express. At Cathay Pacific, he was social media and digital marketing manager, responsible for creating strategy and managing the airlines' central social media channels. He also oversaw digital media advertising and the execution of global marketing campaigns. He worked for the airline from December 2013 to May 2015.Brunet worked for American Express from August 2005 to June 2013, where his last position was senior manager, regional digital strategy and marketing. He offered digital strategy to strengthen the online position of the company’s over 40 bank partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was also responsible for the initiation and development of global, innovative online solutions, advising digital strategy, online marketing campaigns and social media presence.In the earlier stage of his career, he worked for AXA Insurance Thailand as project manager. Based in Bangkok, he managed the local implementation of a regional project for integration and optimisation of the companies' IT systems, operations and product offerings
