The Edge Publishing names head of commercial ops and new editors

The Edge Publishing (TEP) has appointed Cowie Tan (pictured left) as head of commercial operations, Michelle Teo (pictured centre) as chief editor and Chan Chao Peh (pictured right) as executive editor.

Tan will be responsible for the development of the commercial operations, as TEP aims to build on various platforms and synergies as a regional media group with the changing media landscape. Prior to the appointment, Tan was a founding employee and previously head of commercial operations for EdgeProp, the sister company of TEP. Replacing him at EdgeProp is Diana Lim, who has been with the company for three years.

Teo and Chan have been with TEP for nine and 11 years respectively, and are replacing long-serving chief editor Benjamin Paul, who will continue at the company as its editor-at-large and Joan Ng, who is leaving the company to pursue her personal interests. All three executives will work alongside The Edge Media Group (TEMG)’s CEO Ho Kay Tat and executive director Ian Tong.

“Tan’s experience and track record at tech-focused EdgeProp will be critical for us as we continue to invest in digital assets to fulfil the demands of both our readers and advertisers,” Tong said.

The Edge brand is well known for being truthful and in-depth in in our editorial analysis, and our new leadership team will continue to build further on our core strengths and values,” Ho added.
