TGV unveils second IMAX theatre

TGV Cinemas launched its newly refurbished multiplex cinema in the 1Utama Shopping Mall.  As part of the grand opening celebration, TGV Cinemas had also launched its second IMAX theatre in Malaysia with IMAX Corp.The multiplex boasts an additional five specialty halls, bringing the total number of halls to 12, which can accommodate a total of 1,847 patrons at any one time, as opposed to only 1,596 in the past.Preetam Daniel (pictured right), IMAX's director of sales for India and Southeast Asia, said "IMAX is unique in that we engage with today's most celebrated filmmakers throughout their film's pre-production, production and post-production process to help bring their creative visions to lifeand transform movie-going into an event-like experience that will leave audiences breathless."Gerald V. Dibbayawan (pictured left), chief executive officer of TGV Cinemas, added that the 1Utama IMAX theatre is just one of the many exciting initiatives TGV Cinemas has in store for cinemagoers this year."In the coming months, we plan to introduce our speciality halls and launch two more IMAX theatres in TGV Tebrau, Johor and TGV Gurney Paragon, Penang."Dentsu Utama was tasked with the creatives for the launch of the IMAX launch event, together with event company Define International.
