Besides the series, MAXstream has also featured one short film sourced from Viddsee daily since the start of February. The short films, carrying themes of love, life and laughter, were curated by Viddsee’s Indonesian content team to keep in line with Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day celebrations.
Telkomsel’s head of digital lifestyle Crispin Tristram said, “Viddsee has built strong relationships with Indonesian filmmakers over the years and they understand the needs and demands of local audiences. We hope to give better and more diverse content that suits the taste and needs of 10 million MAXstream users, while supporting Indonesian filmmakers at the grassroots level to reach out to more movie fans.”
According to Tristram, MAXstream is in line with the telco's mission to "develop the Indonesian digital ecosystem and give the best digital lifestyle experience to our customers." Indonesian creatives are encouraged to hone their craft by using MAXstream to amplify the reach of their films to a wider audience.
In a statement to Marketing, Telkomsel itself said that video payload on its network has increased significantly to 250%. In light of the increasing interest in digital video services, it will continue to seriously work on the video service segment and grow as a marketplace for all Telkomsel video content provider partners through the MAXstream app. Since its launch in 2018, MAXstream has more than nine million downloads.
