Telkomsel picks JWT's story-telling arm Verve for strategic communications

Digital telecommunications provider Telkomsel Indonesia has appointed J. Walter Thompson (JWT) Company Indonesia's new story-telling arm Verve for strategic communications. The agency was chosen for its alignment with Telkomsel's belief in benefiting its consumers through technology and innovation. Verve will be spearheading all of Telkomsel’s communications efforts to elevate its corporate transformation endeavours.JWT Company Indonesia launched Verve in June last year as its full service PR and influence solution. The offering strengthens its existing capabilities, JWT and Mirum. Harry Deje is the managing director of Verve and currently reports to Admardatine.“Given the agency's track record of creative and effective ideas, we believe the team is the right partner in making effective of market opportunities to strengthen Telkomsel position in Indonesia, especially in this transformation era,” said Denny Abidin, Telkomsel’s general manager of external communications.To strengthen Telkomsel’s position as the digital telco of choice in Indonesia, JWT Company Indonesia CEO Marianne Admardatine said that the agency will be "re-engineering the way Telkomsel should communicate" across disciplines and stakeholders, and building the company’s reputation across a variety of vertical markets.
