Sources have confirmed to Advertising + Marketing that Telekom Malaysia (TM) has appointed Brand Union as its branding agency.
A+M understands that the branding initiatives are strongly focused on the Malaysia market and work has already begun. The pitch was first called late last year with agencies from both Singapore and Malaysia vying for the account.
Brand Union did not comment on A+M‘s queries. Meanwhile, TM did not comment on the agency appointment.
Izlyn Ramli, VP of group brand and communication of TM had earlier told A+M that going forward there would be a push for a ‘Life made easier’ promise to customers. The brand is also trying to move out of being perceived solely as a tech brand and into a more relatable brand which integrates with consumer lifestyles.
