TBWA\ Singapore defends Overall Agency of the Year title for the fourth year running

For the fourth year in a row, TBWA\ Singapore continues to excel at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s annual Agency of the Year awards, held as a virtual ceremony on 8 July 2021 taking home the Overall Agency of the Year title. The agency not only swept five gold trophies in five categories (Analytics Agency of the Year, Brand & Design Consultancy of the Year, Creative Agency of the Year, Digital Agency of the Year, Integrated Marketing Agency of the Year and), it also won two silver under Agency Leader of the Year and Agency Team of the Year.

Despite the challenges of last year, judges said that TBWA\Singapore displayed “exceptional growth in new clients” and truly “invested in talent management which in turn will shape the future of marketing”. Its ability to continuously produce excellent creative and innovative work is a reflected in the outstanding results it has created for clients, truly deserving of achieving the title of Overall Agency of the Year. 

“TBWA\ Singapore is an exemplary example of drive and perseverance as the agency continues to rise to new challenges, thus maintaining and defending its title for the fourth time. Huge congrats to TBWA\ Singapore and its team for showing outstanding talent, grit and perseverance” said Rezwana Manjur, editor-in-chief, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

She added: "Congratulations to all our winners who have done amazing work, and not forgetting our finalists who have also dedicated great effort. We at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE strive to reward and recognise all talents that produce exceptional work.

Placing second at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE's 14th edition of the Agency of the Year Awards was a combination of Edelman agencies, Edelman Data & Intelligence (DxI) Singapore, Edelman Digital and Edelman Singapore, with two gold, two silver and two bronze. The teams achievements and efforts were seen in highly competitive categories, such as Social Media Marketing Agency of the Year, Public Relations Agency of the Year and Analytics Agency of the Year.

Other outstanding efforts this year included OOm, who took home the coveted overall Local Hero of the Year title as well as two golds and two local hero trophies under Lead Generation Agency of the Year and Search Marketing Agency of the Year.

With 24 judges partaking in the judging process this year, these senior client marketers that reside from companies such as, AirAsia, DBS Bank, GEODIS Asia Pacific, Global Beauty International, L’Oreal, National Museum of Singapore, Park Regis Singapore, Sony Electrics and ZF Asia Pacific, sincerely took the time to independently review and score every entry to confirm the shortlist and winners. The virtual announcement also saw nine judges sharing their thoughts on the agency scene and recognising the top players in the industry.

"We’d like to thank all our 2021 senior marketers on our jury panel who set aside their valuable time to assess this year’s submissions. Thank you for providing the professional client-side perspectives that truly reflects the marketing industry,” Manjur added.

This year, several new categories were implemented to reflect the changing nature of the marketing and advertising scene. These categories include Analytics Agency of the Year, New Kid on the Block, Performance Marketing Agency of the Year and more, bringing the total number of enterable categories to 30 this year.
