Taylor’s University is marking its latest climb in the QS World University Rankings 2026 with a new brand campaign that puts talent development, innovation, and global impact at the heart of its narrative.

The university has secured 253rd position globally, reinforcing its status as the top-ranked non-government-linked private university in Southeast Asia and cementing its place among the top one per cent of universities worldwide.

The campaign highlights Taylor’s growing employer reputation, which is currently ranked 92nd globally, and its success in attracting a globally diverse student community, reflected in its 34th position for international student population.

As part of the campaign, the university released a brand film titled "The bold rise together". The film features three different university students working together to rise to the top. The drama-heavy film sees the students running against a crowd of students, strong winds and a pile of examination papers.

In addition, Taylor’s University said the campaign spotlights its commitment to advancing purpose-driven education, academic integrity across borders, and reimagining curricula to reflect diverse, globally relevant, and locally grounded perspectives. At the same time, the university is positioning its faculty as mentors and change agents, tasked with delivering hybrid learning experiences that equip graduates for the future.

“As a modern progressive institution, we are committed to building world-class education driven by innovation and real-world impact. We are growing our student community, investing in staff, and advancing capabilities to address global challenges through industry partnerships, AI-powered learning, and purpose-driven innovation," said Barry Winn, vice-chancellor and president of Taylor’s University.

"In line with our aspirations to facilitate nation-building efforts, we aim to empower students to reach their full potential, align research with national priorities, and foster local and global partnerships that drive meaningful change. In doing so, we support Malaysia’s efforts to develop talent and strengthen its position as an education hub in the region,” he added.

Meanwhile, Philip Rom, content manager at Taylor's told A+M: "It wasn’t the safe or obvious choice but we believed the message mattered. ‘The bold rise together’ film reflects a simple belief: rising means nothing if we’re not lifting others along the way. The story was shaped by our creative content team at Taylor’s and brought to life through a thoughtful collaboration with 2117 Productions."

Taylor’s University is known for releasing timely and evocative brand films that spark conversation and connect with audiences on a deeper level. Its most recent Deepavali festive film tackled the issue of cyberbullying, blending a powerful visual narrative with an original Tamil song to deliver a message that resonated strongly with today’s audiences. The film reflected the university’s ongoing commitment to purpose-driven storytelling that addresses real-world issues while celebrating cultural identity.
