Gerard Kho (pictured), Sunway Property’s CMO, has joined digital media entertainment company WebTVAsia as group chief strategy officer. According to his LinkedIn, he will focus on maximising opportunities for the company to position itself as a leading online entertainment company.
Kho will work directly with founder and group CEO Fred Chong in all areas from fund raising to branding, value creation and revenue generation. WebTVAsia has a presence in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and China, among others. A+M has reached out to WebTVAsia for comment.
Meanwhile, Sunway has confirmed Kho’s departure to A+M. Kho took on the CMO at Sunway Property in 2017 and oversaw its strategic branding and positioning of the property developments within the Sunway group. This was to ensure strong and sustainable increase in value of properties for investors.
According to his LinkedIn, among the list of duties Kho was responsible for Sunway Property included destination marketing and content management, PR and media engagement, digital marketing and social media. Kho was also involved in business and corporate relations management.
Before joining Sunway Property, he was the CMO of Medini Iskandar Malaysia and was in charge of promoting Johor’s 2,230 acres of land Medini. He also worked at Reapfield Properties, PropertyGuru, Elders Real Estate and Ray White.
