Kudsia Kahar (pictured) has left her role as chief operation officer of the Star Radio Group (SRG), a spokesperson at the company confirmed to A+M.
Kudsia joined SRG from AMP Radio (now Astro Radio) where she held the role of vice president of new media business & industry development.
According to her LinkedIn, Kudsia has over 21 years of experience in the Malaysian radio industry. She started out as an announcer, then programme manager before heading group programming for a few years. She was also involved in the startup of Astro’s radio business where she helped to launch three different radio networks from AMP Radio. Assisting AMP’s expansion plans, Kudsia assisted in the takeover of another radio station and helped to evaluate future expansion possibilities in Southeast Asia.
Under her purview, the radio company appointed GfK for its first radio audience measurement launched last year. The international market research company was assigned to carry out the radio audience measurement for the four radio brands under the Star Radio group: Red FM, SuriaFM, 988 and Capital FM.
When asked if the company is looking for a replacement, SRG declined to comment.
