Society Malaysia, the content marketing agency of IPG Mediabrands announced the appointment of Kelvin Sim (pictured) as general manager.
Sim has 18 years of experience spanning multiple industries, and comes from a rich telecommunication and digital marketing background. He is expected to further strengthen the Society digital offerings.
Society recently undertook a rebrand to evolve the agency offerings from social community management services towards holistic, data-driven content marketing on digital, embedding real-time targeted content that drives commerce and builds brand affinity.
Sim was previously head of digital services and activation, marketing at DiGi Telecommunications. He started his career with Astro, and was part of the biggest radio boom in Malaysia for nine years before leaving for CIMB Bank where he helped to establish market dominance for one of the largest local banks. He then was with Tune Talk as Deputy Head, Marketing and Business Development before joining InMobi where he helped to grow, establish and facilitate mobile strategies and solutions for clients and agencies in Malaysia.
Sim will report to Stanley Clement, managing director of Society Malaysia.
