Local business consultancy for tech startup Snowball has appointed Cecelia Chan (pictured) as its senior consultant, working together with three other consultants namely Arthur Chan, Kevin Shui and Victor Cheng.
The aim of having Chan in the team lies in the diverse expertise that each consultant brings to the table, said Chan in conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
"While everyone has their unique strengths, my specialisation in marketing knowledge from both large corporations and start-ups positions me to drive impactful strategies that enhance our consulting services and support the growth of tech start-ups. By leveraging my experience, we can create innovative and all-rounded solutions that resonate with our clients and contribute to our collective success."
Joining Snowball presents a unique opportunity to leverage Chan's marketing expertise in today’s dynamic business landscape, she said. "Vision of Snowball - Snowball is more than just a consulting firm; it’s a catalyst for the growth of tech start-ups, providing actionable plans in marketing, digital innovation, business operations and talent acquisition. This mission aligns seamlessly with my passion for driving change and fostering innovation."
"Snowball team - Having known the three gentlemen on the Snowball team for over a decade, I can confidently say that our shared vision and values create a strong foundation for collaboration. We all possess deep roots in the tech and marketing industry across Asia Pacific and Hong Kong. We are united by our commitment to elevating the industry, nurturing emerging talent, and rejuvenating the Hong Kong brand," she added.
In her new role, Chan is tasked at driving comprehensive business and marketing transformation initiatives for clients by leveraging innovative strategies and fast start campaigns; spearheading ROI-focused marketing initiatives achieving rapid market penetration and measurable results for clients. She is also responsible for developing innovative branding strategies driving business growth, enhancing visibility and strengthening market positioning for startups and established brands.
She was most recently Colliers' head of marketing and communications, Hong Kong and senior director of marketing, valuation and advisory services, Asia. Chan was responsible for driving the marketing and communications, business development and research strategies in Colliers Hong Kong to amplify the Colliers brand.
"My next career - As I transition from over two decades of in-house (large corporations such as Colliers, Lenovo and PCCW and innovative start-ups such as Carousell and theDesk) experience, I am eager to embrace new challenges and contribute to shaping the future of start-ups in the region. Snowball’s mission resonates with me, and I am excited about the potential to make a meaningful impact while driving growth and success for our clients."
Given Hong Kong is home to many incredible brands with outstanding products and services that have untapped potential for effective promotion to drive business growth, Chan will leverage her marketing expertise and experience in start-ups to facilitate the transformation and growth of these exceptional brands.
She said, "I am excited to join Snowball as it represents a unique opportunity to channel my marketing expertise into empowering tech start-ups. Together, we will drive innovation, nurture talent, and rejuvenate the Hong Kong brand, all while making a meaningful impact in the dynamic landscape of the Asia Pacific."
