SMRT launches an app to drive loyalty

SMRT Commercial has launched WINK+, a loyalty app in Singapore that rewards commuters who ride and scan on WINK+ icons.

Customers would need to download the app, ride SMRT or scan WINK+ QR codes island-wide in SMRT Media OOH spaces and earn WINK+ points to redeem WINK+ rewards at participating WINK+ retailers and partners.

WINK+, will work with advertisers and partners to track eyeballs, conversions and other key metrics for their campaigns.

SMRT sees 21.1 million weekly ridership in its entire network.

SMRT Commercial’s managing director, Dawn Low said: "For the first time, retailers as well as OOH and digital advertisers in the SMRT network can integrate their offline and online campaigns with real-time ROI tracking, and soon, analytics.”

“What this means is advertisers can now plan their marketing and sales programmes, knowing their campaigns will return critical business and sales KPIs,” she added.

To launch WINK+, SMRT Commercial has roped in Po, and his fellow panda Mei Mei from the upcoming “Kung Fu Panda 3”.

From now till 31 March 2016, WINK+ members get to win a money-can’t-buy “Awesome Kung Fu Panda 3 - Hollywood Holiday and Experience” for four. And all early-bird WINK+ members who scan 10 WINK+ QR codes, found all across town in the SMRT Media network get to redeem a limited edition Kung Fu Panda 3 notebook (4 designs), while stocks last.

As part of the activations, Po and Mei Mei will be making special appearances in the SMRT Media network and selected partners’ sites to get consumers to grab WINK+.
