Consumers riled over Singtel's network disruption

Singtel saw a disruption in its 3g and 4G services, with consumers quickly taking to its Facebook page to voice their frustration.

The telecommunications company has since released a statement on its Facebook page, “Customers may be experiencing intermittent difficulties accessing 3G and 4G mobile data services. Our engineers are currently investigating and are working on restoring services as soon as possible. We will provide regular updates on our Facebook page and Twitter.”

“Mobile data services have been fully restored and customers should now be able to get back online. Those who are still having difficulties can try restarting their device.  We will continue to monitor the situation. We apologise to everyone who was affected and thank them for their patience,” a Singtel spokesperson told Marketing.

The network has since reported that services have been restored, as of 530pm today.

The network disruption have riled up its customers, who were quick to comment on Singtel’s Facebook posts. While the company’s statement cited “intermittent difficulties”, its customers are complaining that their network services have been completely disrupted:

Customers also voice their frustration on Twitter, demanding an answer from the telco company:
