SingTel targets the SMEs

SingTel, in a bid to promote its online community “myBusiness” amongst SMEs, has launched a campaign where the SME community can advertise their services and products for free on the electronic billboard at Raffles Place until 15 December 2013.

myBusiness is a portal by SingTel for SMEs to share knowledge. Through myBusiness portal, SMEs can come together to crowd-source, bid for tenders and jobs online amongst other facilities. SMEs can also learn about available government grants and subsidies as well as subscribe to business software without having to buy them upfront.

According to a SingTel spokesperson, the SME community in Singapore is generally a fragmented segment. Through myBusiness, SingTel hopes to bring the community together and help it to grow.

For example, in the ‘Ask the Experts’ column, SingTel invites industry leaders and experts to share their experiences and help SMES by answering their frequently asked questions.

“myBusiness also provides SMEs with the largest aggregated trading board where they can gain access to RFQs from large enterprises such as SingTel, SATS, National Healthcare Group, etc,” he added.

“This is one way which SingTel is helping SMEs, which often do not have the budget or the know-how, to raise their profiles and differentiate themselves in the market.”
