Singtel brings Chromecast to Singapore

Singtel has introduced media streaming device Chromecast to its users.

Chromecast is a thumb-sized media streaming device that plugs into a TV's HDMI port. Content can be streamed via the internet using any Android or iOS phone, tablet, or laptop.

Singapore users can access an array of exciting apps via Chromecast, including YouTube, Twitch, and Viki, with other apps available for download via the Google Play store.

Singtel will be selling Chromecast at all Singtel retail stores from 19 – 22 March.

The device first debuted in the United States in July 2013.

Tricia Lee, senior manager, group communications, Singtel corporate functions said: "We believe this product offering, used in conjunction with Singtel’s high-speed fibre broadband will help to bring greater convenience to users who like to consume media from the comfort of their living room."
