Singtel and Leo Burnett Singapore win big at the Hashtag Asia Awards 2023

Singtel scored a home run with three gold, seven silver, and one bronze trophies and was named the Overall Brand HashMaster at the Hashtag Asia Awards. Singtel worked with the agencies Publicis Singapore, Leo Burnett Singapore, and Hogarth Worldwide on the campaigns “5G Live Activation” and “Getting in on every World Cup moment with Singtel”. These campaigns scored big in a variety of categories, including “Best Social Brand Launch”, “Best Use of Live Streaming or Virtual Events”, and “Best World Cup Related Social Media Campaign”.

In runner-up position, Kopi Kenangan made heads turn with three gold won for their campaign “Kopi Kenangan Hanya Untukmu celebrating Independence Day - By Indonesia, For Indonesia” featuring their brand “Kopi Kenangan Hanya Untukmu”.  Geneco also had a great night with two gold, one silver, and one bronze s for their campaign “#HappilyEverAfter”. Other big winners included Watsons International, Singapore Airlines, Néstle, Scoot  (新加坡酷航), Tune Talk, Hotels.com, Energizer Holdings, Fiji Airways, and Kiztopia.

After a double-win at the MARKies Awards, Leo Burnett Singapore continued to make strides at the Hashtag Asia Awards with two gold, seven silver and one bronze trophies that secured them the title of Overall Agency HashMaster. The agency achieved this glory with three campaigns, all for Singtel: “5G Live Activation”, and in a joint venture with Publicis Singapore, “GOMO 5G "Not Just Better, Cleverer" and “GOMO Roaming (Kinda) Travel Influencers”. These campaigns scored them a solid strike throughout ten categories, including “Best Integrated Social Media Campaign”, “Best Social Amplification Campaign”, and “Best Social Brand Launch”.

Close behind was Slashie Media & Marketing with one gold, three silver, and five bronze trophies that they attained with their campaigns, including “Back to Fun at Kiztopia”, “Healthier you Happier you”, and “Best home renovation in Singapore”. Publicis Singapore, in a joint venture with Leo Burnett Singapore, also received one gold, four silver, and one bronze trophies for their campaigns “GOMO 5G "Not Just Better, Cleverer" and “GOMO Roaming (Kinda) Travel Influencers”. Other big winners included ADA Asia, TBWA\Singapore, Weber Shandwick, Mashwire,WE Red Bridge, Goodfellas, and SVEN.

The winners were chosen by a 36-member judging panel comprised of senior marketers from notable brands and agencies, including 2Stallions Digital, 99 Group Indonesia, BCT Financial, Believe Digital, British Council, Brut Media, Cheil  Philippines, Dentsu Indonesia, DHL Express Malaysia, Digital Studio by APRW, Emax Beauté, Feather & Bone, First Page Digital Singapore, foodpanda Philippines, GALE Partners, GIGIL, Gojek, GroupM Nexus, Malaysia, iamdanielang, Just Global, Lion & Lion, Media.Monks, Mediatropy, Monogic, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, PHD Thailand, Publicis Groupe Indonesia, RED² Digital, Synergy Growth Co, A subsidiary of Pruksa Holding, TBWA Singapore, Timezone Philippines, VaynerMedia Asia Pacific, Warner Bros Discovery Korea, We Are Social, WE Red Bridge, and Zib Digital.

The Hashtag Asia Awards ceremony took place on July 5th in Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay.
