The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) has appointed digital marketing agency Ydigital Asia to manage its digital marketing strategy and campaigns for its new student intake for the Singapore Institute of Management Global Education. The campaigns are targeted at the Malaysia market and the appointment is for a period of 12 months, following a pitch held in the fourth quarter of 2018. Work is expected to roll out this month. In a statement to A+M, Gerald Lum, director of brand, marketing and recruitment said Ydigital Asia's proposal met its needs and offered a media strategy based on the consumer insights of its potential target audience. "This is in sync with our marketing direction of being insight driven and customer-centric. We are confident that Ydigital Asia will be able to help us in our outreach initiatives in Malaysia," the spokesperson added. Meanwhile, Ydigital Asia's group CCO Peter Haarmark and Malaysia country manager Micaela Soyza both said that the agency is honoured to be selected by one of Singapore's private education institutions and it looks forward to increasing the knowledge about SIM in Malaysia. Founded in Jakarta in 2014, Ydigital Asia is also present in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Among the list of clients it has worked with include Microsoft, Visa, LINE, Hermes, Burger King and honestbee. In December last year, it brought on board former partner at ManghamGaxiola mcgarrybowen Stephen Mangham, chairman of GIGAGIGS SEA/Greater China Khoo Kar Khoon and managing partner at Rud Pedersen’s Brussels office Martin Bresson, to guide the strategic direction of its regional expansion plans.
