Sime Darby Property names chief marketing and sales officer

Sime Darby Property has appointed Gerard Yuen (pictured) as chief marketing and sales officer, who will oversee the planning, development and execution of the company’s marketing and sales initiatives.Yuen reports directly to group managing director Amrin Awaluddin. Prior to his new role, Yuen was the chief sales officer for Mah Sing Group, where he led key marketing and sales initiatives for projects within Klang Valley, Johor, Penang and Sabah. He was also the head of sales and marketing for Sunway Group's property division.The company also named Aravindan Devapalan Nair chief assurance officer, who will focus on strengthening the company’s internal audit and corporate assurance function in compliance with its policies and procedures. He reports to Amrin Awaluddin and the governance and audit committee.“We are delighted to welcome Yuen and Nair to the Sime Darby Property family. Their combined expertise and knowledge will certainly bolster the management team as we position the company for future growth," Amrin Awaluddin said.Last year, the company handed Kingdom Digital duties for its digital account for 10 months, following a three-way pitch. The agency is responsible for the creative ideation and execution of online ad campaigns for a portfolio of Sime Darby Property townships across Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan.
