Shopee has launched the Shopee Mall Brand Memberships, a new customer management and retention tool that enables brands on Shopee Mall to build deeper connections with potential and existing customers.

The tool has been rolled out across seven markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. The Shopee Mall Brand Memberships works much like a loyalty programmes to drive more conversion and repeat purchases for brands on the Shopee platform. Brands can customise their own membership programme for shoppers, including the welcome gift, number of membership tiers and brand loyalty points awarded to members for every purchase. Members can accumulate and redeem these loyalty points for exclusive benefits such as upsized vouchers and gifts with purchases. Shopee Mall Brand Memberships vouchers can also be stacked with other Shopee vouchers.

Shopee Mall Brand Memberships allows brands to identify and manage different customer segments through data analysis of customers’ profile, purchasing habits and preferences. Shopee says it will also be progressively rolling out a pipeline of new features to enhance the membership programme, where brands can integrate their offline and online CRM systems and loyalty programmes with Shopee Mall Brand Memberships.

Ian Ho, regional managing director of Shopee said, “With consumers now spending a larger part of their shopping journey online, we want to empower brands with more ways to capture their customers at every touchpoint. Hence, we are proud to launch this programme that will not only support our brand partners in achieving more sustainable growth by driving conversion and higher spending, but also deliver greater value to shoppers.”

Currently, Danone is a client of Shopee Mall Brand Memberships soft launch earlier this year across Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, and Shopee claims the brand saw an average increase of 15% in repeat buyers since launching in April. L’Oréal Luxe also embarked on the partnership with Shopee Mall Brand Memberships.
