Sherborn steps down as ACP Asia CEO

Following the sale of ACP Magazines Asia to Singapore Press Holdings, CEO Julie Sherborn has decided to move on from ACP Magazines after a 20 year career with the company.

Sherborn joined ACP in 1992 as editor-in-chief of the Singapore edition of ELLE magazine and soon after took on the role of MD.

She then undertook the position of chief executive officer Asia to lead the company's growth across the region.

Sherborn will step down from the position of CEO mid next month but will continue to be consultant to ACP in Hong Kong.

Industry veteran Niall Murphy, with over a decade of experience, has taken on the role of managing director of ACP Magazines Asia, effective 1 September.

The role will see an expansion of his current responsibilities as group general manager of Network Services, one of Australia's largest newsstand and subscription management business, and ACP's online and digital subscription business, Magshop.

Murphy has also worked with News Limited, Fairfax Media and PMP Limited in various operational, commercial growth and business performance improvement roles and also worked with accounting firm KPMG in Ireland.

Deborah Thomas, ACP director of media, public affairs and brand development also adds on to her current duties with Sherborn's board and brand positioning roles at Post International Media-ACP, publisher of Cleo Thailand along with a range of licensing concerns across the Asia Pacific region.
