Sentosa Development Corporation appoints media agency

Marketing understands that the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has appointed OMD as its media agency following a pitch.This is a two year contract, with an option to extend for another. OMD has won part of the Sentosa business, and will deal with branding, strategic planning and creative planning of the future campaigns.OMD declined to comment on the win. The pitch was called earlier in October 2013 and involved agencies such as Carat, GroupM And IPG.Meanwhile, MEC remains the agency for Sentosa Leisure Management and will handle the tactical marketing aspects for the group, Marketing understands.SDC’s other business units are Sentosa Golf Club, Sentosa Cove Pte Ltd, Sentosa Cove Resort Management Pte Ltd and Mount Faber Leisure Group.In 2011, SDC appointed MEC to handle media buying for a two-year period and the remit covered other markets in the region as well, such as Malaysia, India and China.  Prior to MEC, the account was managed by OMD.Earlier this year SDC appointed Grey Group as its creative agency for a period of two years with an option to extend for another.
