Video supply platform SelectMedia has opened an operational sales office in Singapore. This is in a bid to zero in on the Asia Pacific market in the arena of digital video marketing. The company currently operates in over 55 countries globally.
According to a press statement, the move follows a recording of positive trends in digital video advertising over the years in Asia, with a forecasted growth in digital ad spending of up to 18.2%, reaching approximately US$59.7 billion.
Prior to the opening of the sales office, the company has been operating in Singapore for over three years, with its CEO and co-founder Sagi Gordon, operating in Asia since 2008.
Heading the sales office and partnership efforts in Singapore is Gerard Lechau (pictured) who will be doing so through his consultancy Digital V. He will report to global CRO of SelectMedia, Madi Bachar.
Prior to starting Digital V, Lechau has held stints as a business director at Exponential, and also at Outbrain where he helped further the company’s presence in SEA and India.
“Lechau’s knowledge, experience, and expertise will definitely come to play in Singapore, as clients stand to gain from being served by the best in the industry. This singular human resource is one of the distinguishing assets of SelectMedia that stands the company out from the crowd,” SelectMedia CEO Sagi Gordon, said.
