Schneider Electric Hong Kong advances award-winning campaign to build a greener and smarter Hong Kong

Amid growing global momentum for sustainable development, businesses large and small in Hong Kong have begun to embark on their transformation journeys. However, as there are limited resources and expertise, the development and implementation of sustainability goals remain a challenge for many of them. In view of this, Schneider Electric Hong Kong has partnered with Madbox to develop a communications campaign, targeted at helping businesses in Hong Kong realise their sustainability ambitions by embracing technological innovation.
The campaign, titled "Building a Greener and Smarter Hong Kong", has earned recognition at the prestigious PR Awards organised by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE for its trailblazing and engaging approach since 2022.
With a target audience of 3,000 industry leaders and ESG professionals, the strategic initiative is developed on four pillars, including first-hand insights, strategic partnerships, real examples and multi-channel communications.
The campaign is strategically designed to highlight Schneider Electric as a driving force in sustainability and innovation, as well as its role in empowering businesses to catalyse meaningful change for people and the planet.
Key to the campaign’s success is Schneider Electric’s collaboration with the Business Environment Council (BEC), a respected industry association committed to galvanising business action towards net zero in Hong Kong. A survey was conducted in partnership with the BEC to understand the sustainability challenges that businesses in Hong Kong are currently facing, and to determine how they can overcome these barriers through technological solutions.
A highlight of the campaign was Innovation Summit Hong Kong 2022. To maximise impact in the lead up to the event, Schneider Electric partnered with targeted media, and leveraged the reach of its speakers and partnering associations via social media and e-newsletters.
On that day, a press event and interviews with Schneider Electric’s executives were hosted to highlight the company’s support of its ecosystem in the broader sustainability transition. These were subsequently developed into a series of byline articles. Through engaging keynotes, panel discussions, and strategy talks, the event provided inspiration and an enriching experience for attendees.
As part of Schneider Electric’s commitment to foster ecosystem collaboration, a strategic series of seminars were organised in partnership with leading business associations, including InvestHK, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hong Kong and International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Hong Kong Chapter – with the objective to broaden awareness of Schneider Electric’s brand and solutions, and to reinforce its thought leadership in sustainability and innovation.
