Sapporo Breweries appoints InitiativeSapporo Breweries has appointed Initiative to handle media planning and buying for the brand in Singapore. Initiative will be tasked to revitalise the brand name and leverage festivals such as Chinese New Year to encourage more Singaporeans to drink Sapporo Beer. The contract is on a project basis and includes online and offline media.EDB looks for social media agencyThe Economic Development Board is looking for a social media agency for its business information portal, Contact Singapore. The one year contract kicks in from January and a tender is expected to close within weeks. The portal is the EDB's and Ministry of Manpower's alliance to increase awareness of Singapore as a destination for global talent.SAP launches new CRM platformEnterprise application software provider SAP has launched its Real Time Data Platform aimed at helping clients with CRM strategies. The platform helps users to process and act on large quantities of data in real-time from various sources of information. It will target the retail, telecoms, banks and government sectors. Anthony McMahon, senior vice president of Database and Technology at SAP Asia Pacific and Japan, said the launch was in response to customer feedback saying technology has fallen behind.
