Samsung Galaxy Life and Easy Taxi have built a successful partnership to reward customers with Easy Taxi deals, claim both firms.
Since the partnership began, Easy Taxi has recorded a growth in membership and gained many more loyal customers.
“The core purpose of the Galaxy Life app is to ultimately enrich the way people live, interact, share and communicate with family and friends. It brings together a variety of deals from local retail and online stores on a weekly and monthly basis,” said Lee Dong Yong, president of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
“Various marketing strategies across multiple channels have been executed by Easy Taxi, as we understand that exploring new opportunities via online marketing in the Malaysian market is one of the best decisions when it comes to mobile and internet usage. Through Galaxy Life, there is a large group of people that has seen and experience the convenience of using the Easy Taxi app,” said Joon Chan, regional managing director of Easy Taxi.
The current promotion between both offers users RM8 off their taxi fares, exclusively to Galaxy Life users. The attractive deal managed to garner a lot of positive responses and has even helped increase the usage of taxi services through the Easy Taxi mobile app.
Before this, Galaxy Life and Easy Taxi have provided free taxi rides worth up to RM15 in conjunction with the school holidays from Friday, 12 September to Sunday, 14 September 2014. Students and families alike took the opportunities to enjoy the complimentary rides for excursions around Klang Valley.
The Samsung Mobile Malaysia Facebook page has about 990,000 ‘likes’ to date and is still growing.
