Samsung is taking a lead on utilising Malaysian influencers to spearhead its campaign, Unique Malaysian Moments for the Galaxy S4 Zoom.
The chosen personalities include visual trendsetter, NiniRamlan; fashion innovator, Alia Bastamam; celebrity chef, Nik Michael Imran; Malaysian hip hop pioneer, Joe Flizzow; blogger/vloggers Chuckei, Joyce Wong and Ming Han among others.
Equipped with the GALAXY S4 Zoom, each ambassador will document visual stories of their lives and upload onto the Unique Malaysian Moments Facebook tab, accessible at www.mys4zoom.com.
Users are also given the option of contributing their own visual stories via the hashtag #mys4zoom with selected visuals incorporated into a limited edition of Joe Flizzow’s video for his hit single, HAVOC.
The video’s projected to hit screens on 5 December.
The campaign aims to celebrate the diversity of Malaysia via passion points like fashion, music food and art.
“There is no one definition to being Malaysian. We are unique because of our diversity and that, ultimately, makes up our strength as a nation. At Samsung, we are very excited to create countless moments of discovery through the stories brought to life with the GALAXY S4 zoom,” said Ng Long Shyang, vice president of IT and mobile communications, Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
Ng further stresses that this is the reason Samsung selected the above personalities.
"All are unique Malaysian success stories, with established identities for themselves in their areas of expertise."
The platform is located on Samsung Malaysia Facebook page and promoted on the selected ambassador’s personal Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Edelman and Starcom conceptualised the campaign with Leo Burnett on execution.
