Mindshare, the global media agency network part of WPP, has won the PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna TBK account, following a pitch.
Sampoerna, one of the largest Indonesian tobacco companies and a subsidiary of PT Philip Morris Indonesia, has awarded its digital business to Mindshare.
Beating other digital agencies Isobar and Ignite, Mindshare’s three-year contract will kick off in 2015, covering production and media for all Sampoerna products – including A Mild, Sampoerna, Dji Sam Soe, nd Marlboro.
Commenting on Mindshare’s first digital-only win, Himanshu Shekhar, CEO, Mindshare Indonesia, said: “We took the brief as a challenge to not just show what we can do now, but also to take a forward-looking approach to digital. In the end, we believe our entrepreneurial and imaginative approach was our edge.
